Fred James Zito 1944-2007, was raised in Staten Island, NY by his mother Antionette Elia Zito a native of Staten Island.

He was class president and graduated from Curtis High School. He was Staten Island baseball MVP in 1959 and was given the honor of representing the borough and accompanying Whitey Ford at Yankee Stadium.

Post military service, he worked for the Staten Island Police Department and went on to become a very successful business entrepreneur. He was a bright light, lived life unapologetically, the life of the party, and his smile was infectious.

Fred has one daughter, Helena Zito (Johnson), 3 grand-children Jason, Curtis, and Kellie, and 8 Great-Grandchildren. He was also the brother of Phyllis Zito of Staten Island and the late Richard Zito also a resident of Staten Island.
