Joshua Spanton

Joshua Spanton moved to Staten Island after he completed his military service with his wife, Jessica, who is a lifelong resident. They currently reside in West Brighton.

Joshua was born and raised in New Jersey. He joined the military in 2010, serving with 4th Infantry Division, 4th Combat Brigade, Chosen Company 2-12 out of Fort Carson, Colorado.

He completed two deployments to Afghanistan under “Operation Enduring Freedom” in 2012 and 2014 as a machine-gunner and Infantryman.

Joshua received awards as follows: Combat Infantry Badge, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, and Overseas
Service Ribbon.

Joshua graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Education in 2019. He and his wife reside in West Brighton, where they are raising their two children, Emily and Jack.
